Name Change
Phantom Strikes A melee attack hit can cause a phantom strike against a random nearby enemy, including the original target. Only the weapon's own blow counts: projectiles, spells and area blows such as a sceptre's Smite lightning do not. It deals 15% → 24% of the original hit's calculated damage before the target's defences. Damage modifiers are not applied again, and it does not roll a new critical strike or trigger on-hit effects. It rolls its own critical strike with the critical strike chance and damage of the original hit plus those for phantom strikes. It builds up no ailments, and it builds up half the stagger of the original hit, raised by stagger build-up for phantom strikes. Every full 100% chance guarantees one phantom strike; the remainder rolls for one more. Only Endless Apparition allows phantom strikes to trigger further phantom strikes.
Spells Staff attacks and scepter → sceptre attacks → Smites use spell bonuses instead of melee or ranged bonuses; a sceptre swing itself is melee. Casting ends the Combo and does not receive running-blow bonuses.
